Hand-Crafted in Japan. Next-Gen Moving Magnet Phono Pickup. Building on Rainier, Olympia implements an upgraded cantilever assembly that reduces moving mass, translating to more nimble groove tracing, extended nuance and expanded frequency response. A slight decrease in output from Rainier reduces noise in an already-quiet design, improving imaging and perpetuating realism that’s rare to come by in this class of cartridge.
Anti static carbon fiber brush for vinyl records.
Hand-Crafted in Japan. Sumiko Oyster phono cartridge is generally smooth in character yet surprisingly musical — a high-value introduction to the hobby of critical listening at manageable price for anyone looking to get a taste for the difference a cartridge upgrade can make. A conventional moving magnet cartridge with a rugged spherical stylus and alloy cantilever, it’s perfect match for any MM preamp and represents a fantastic step forward from most any entry-level & OEM design. You’ll hear an added layer of depth accompanied by enticing mid/high frequency extension.
This comprehensive accessory pack from Elipson contains all the tools you need to clean and adjust your turntable and vinyl record properly. It includes a digital scale, a spirit level, an anti-static brush and a head cleaner. The spirit level will allow you to position your turntable perfectly horizontally, which is an essential adjustment to maintain the accuracy of the arm settings. Next, you can fine-tune the support force exerted by the arm's counterweight with the digital scale. This is conveniently displayed directly on a small LCD screen. The scale can adjust the force between 0.1 and 100 grams with an accuracy of 0.01 grams. The small anti-static brush effectively removes dust and reduces cracking when reading. It is recommended to use it before each playback of a vinyl record. Finally, the cell cleaner is a non-abrasive, anti-static solution that removes dust and micro-particles from the pickup. Easy to use, wipe the product over the diamond. This regular action ensures optimal reading conditions and significantly increases the life of the diamond. The TN-4D is a direct-drive, analog turntable with an elegant, low-profile design, made possible by the use of a newly-developed brushless DC servo motor. Our new brushless DC motor (with feedback control system) achieves crystal-locked speed stability and smoother rotation while also eliminating cogging*. This low-profile motor allowed us to design a plinth that’s extraordinarily sleek and stylish compared to that of most other direct drive turntables. The new tonearm employs knife-edge, pivot-point bearings, developed in collaboration with SAEC Corporation, a world-famous, high-end tonearm manufacturer. The result is an insightful, high-resolution sound quality that tonearms with conventional bearings can’t match. Partnering it is a carefully designed PHONO EQ amplifier that allows you to directly connect the turntable to the line-level inputs of your existing hi-fi system. A high quality NJM8080 op-amp, specially designed for hi-fi applications by New Japan Radio Corporation, is employed to convey the finest of musical detail. Additionally, a USB port on the back panel allows you to digitally archive your vinyl collection via your PC/Mac. To extract the music from your vinyl, the TN-4D comes with a highly-regarded Oyster MM cartridge from SUMIKO – a legendary American cartridge manufacturer. Noted for its innate musicality, the cartridge comes pre-installed on the headshell at the factory, allowing near ‘plug and play’ operation. The S-shaped tonearm meanwhile allows for quick cartridge/headshell swaps, so users can alter the sound quality by experimenting with different cartridges, if the desire takes them. Hand-Crafted in Japan. Classic Reference Moving Coil Phono Pickup.Trade-In Available The best you can get. A ‘reference’ cartridge strives to transcribe that extra bit of musical information that makes your music come alive. Subtleties like the snap & thump of the kick, the attack & rustle of the snare, fingers on the fretboard & vocal verisimilitude are just a few of the attributes a high-end MC is tasked with extracting and reproducing. Beyond just reproducing them, it must be a highly refined ‘Presentation’ across the frequency spectrum with an intimate awareness for the nuance that elevates performance beyond what can be expected from more affordable MCs.
